Summary of Unit
A brief snapshot, as if
someone asked you to
briefly and clearly
describe the intent of the
lesson or project.



Class will do two projects. First, the class will develop and produce a video
dramatizing the era of slavery. Second, the class will work in small groups
to produce a "living pictures" video in Movie Maker portraying the character
from the Civil War era that they researched

1. What do you think caused people to believe that they could "own" another human being
2. How do slavery and racism compare? How do they contrast?
3. Could this ever happen again? Why or why not?
